About Us

The UCC Labour Society is the UCC branch of the Labour Party and its youth wing, Labour Youth.

Labour Youth is the youth wing of the Labour Party, and was established in 1979, with its first conference taking place on May 13th 1979.

Labour Youth is represented in most NUIs and colleges, including:

University College Cork | University College Dublin | Trinity College | Dublin City University | Dublin Institute of Technology | Maynooth University | Carlow Institute of Technology | NUI Galway

With the number of student branches increasing, and steady recruitment, Labour Youth is one of the fastest growing youth movement in Ireland!

UCC Labour is one of the most active society in UCC. We hold weekly branch meetings, as well as organise a number of events throughout the year, including voter registrations, panels and conferences, and demonstrations. We are also very active in campaigns, both locally and nationally.
